Rick at Ten Percent thought of this. I'm so jealous that I didn't.

Heavan 17 - Temptation and More
My favorite band is Depeche Mode. Most Americans know about them. My second favorite of all time is Heaven 17. They didn't get that big here in the US, even though they deserved to. Here's my favorite song of theirs, Temptation.
They did some really cool political music too. For instance, (We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang
And, there's always, Let's All Make a Bomb
I'll leave you with Crushed by the Wheels of Industry.

Johnny Cash's Version of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt"
I had heard about Cash's cover of that amazing NIN song, but I hadn't actually heard it until I saw this YouTube video about the Iraq War.
Obviously, the cover isn't anywhere near as good as the original. But, it's still decent and pretty interesting. One thing I noticed was that Cash made an incongruous change in the words, substituting "I wear this crown of thorns" for the actual lyrics, "I wear this crown of shit." The effect of the change was to give an odd and inappropriate messianic tint to the song and water down some of the pain and degradation that "Hurt" is meant to express.

I know they have been around a long time, but they are new to me.
Enjoy!
